A characterful hotel full of the period and ambience of the town. Don't be put off by the very narrow road system, just pull in your wing mirrors! There is nearby parking by the fantastic viewpoint and cathedral. The Hotel is typical of the old houses of Arcos de la Frontera with a central courtyard, now enclosed and shaded in the summer. Well worth staying at and dining there too.

The hotel was right in the old part of the city. We had a great window view of the valley. The hotel staff helped carry our bags to our room. They have an open air atrium in the middle of the hotel with a restaurant. It was very comfortable and clean.
Parking in hard in Arcos, but not impossible. Its part of its charm in a way.

I have stayed at the hotel three or four times and each time I have been very happy with everything , especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, all of which I count among my friends.

It's a very nice building wtih a huge patio, right at the centre (near the top) of Arcos. Quite big rooms and big bathroom. Lot's of 'old glory' feel. A budget hotel in a very classy location.
Hot water came in waves, which made it difficult to shower (so I took a bath). The restaurant and it's manager at the hotel reminded me a lot of Fawlty Towers. The (ridiculously cheap) 'menu del dia' mysteriously disappeared and reappeared at random. It's a pitty that such a nice hotel and actually quite OK restaurant are let down by the restaurant manager...

You really do get the value of your money here. Nice place all in all. Very central and cozy atmosphere. Loads of great places to eat around and loads to see just around the corner!
Just a few minor things (like a slightly strange mattress, very thin walls, hard to open the door). So that nights sleep was not the best. Also skip the breakfast option, its just toast (typical for Spain). Bring earplugs and you will be fine.

Nice hotel with a good location in the old town. Hotel has a very reasonable price, the same goes for the food. The rooms are located around a very nice palace-like patio.

Olde-world charm; situated in centre of historic part of town; good restaurant plus lots of others nearby
Lack of parking facilities; road leading to hotel is unbeliebably narrow. Sometimes the tea was made with warm water rather than boiling water.

Excellent location in the old centre of beautiful Arcos de la Frontera.
Staff was friendly, but not very helpful. Small room, very uncomfortable bed. Not enough soap, shampoo, etc. All in all, disappointing.

It was on a very quaint street. Had to walk to everything. Beautiful church nearby and views were great. Restaurant right in hotel center had wonderful atmosphere for Spain.
The route we took was through very narrow roads. We finally found a plaza and parked and had to walk in to get to our destination. There must be an easier way to get up there.

We liked the central location and especially the feeling of staying in a very old aristocratic home now converted to a hotel.
Parking was a bit inconvenient and access to the hotel required a bit of study on google maps. But this was a good experience.

The location was great. Rooms large and beds were comfortable. Wifi good.
Had dinner in the restaurant, asked for bottle of house wine (approx €10), waiter said there was none left and suggested another wine. Shocked when the bill arrived, the wine had cost €25.40. Felt ripped off! Food below average.

The room was large and so was the bathroom. It was a bit tired but excellent value for money. The hotel is in the best position for sightseeing.
The air con did not work very well.

The lady at the checkin was very friendly
The hotel is located on top of the hill. The parking nearby is very tight and the streets to go up and down very narrow. If you value your rental car you will not go up there. This area of town can be seen in 1/2 day so it is not necessary to stary there. One night at 11:00pm the restaurant decided to drill something. We had to get up and go down to tell them to stop.
